Re: taking the IQ radio apart and soldering the 20 pin connector

I think what you are describing on the drivers side is the USB plug. The video input for the Rear camera is a 20 pin connector on the passenger side. I sell them to $35 as long as you have the plug present (most 13's did not get the plug so you have to solder leads)

Re: Alarm Activated by Hood?

How would the hood latch play into this? Is there a sensor on it? I figured a hood latch was nothing really more than a lock for the hood. Imagine you go to switch out your serpentine belt. Park the car put your keys in your pocket with the buttons facing out. Reaching down into the belt area to lo...

Re: Antenna Options when installing a SS Silver Box

Oh yea it is the ad blocker. Something that does not get said enough around here is evident with you go over to the G8 or SS forums. Thanks to Eric, our generous benefactor, that gives us this page we are not bothered by Ads. So no ad blocker needed round these parts.

Re: Front Speakers In-Op

Save that pigtail harness for if you ever add an amp, instant patch cord!

Oh actually looks like you would have to add about 4 wires to one side.
I got Terminals for those I can send you if you want to make it complete

Re: Driveshaft Center Carrier Bearing

That would make sense because I found the number on 7zap looking under a 14 but then I can only look at the online catalogs for fitment applications and if showed fittings all years all engines: bearing 1.png Is this other part accurate as to fitment in the GM parts system? bearing 2.png Only questi...

Re: P0335 Slow Cranking When Hot

but it's not about being hot because you said if you hook jumpers to it it fires right up. So it's about depleted voltage more than the temp of the engine.

Driveshaft Center Carrier Bearing

Found an interesting parts situation today when discussing the center carrier bearing on our cars. I had come to the conclusion that since our center carrier bearing was discontinued all we could do is a new driveshaft if it goes bad. Someone mentioned "Does the G8 fit? " I thought surely if ours is...

What’s the best way to access the expansion valve?
It's right where the hose set goes into the firewall. You take off the hoses from the engine side then two allen heads hold the Expansion valve on to the evaporator assembly. 2 o-rings in there to replace if they are looking flat.
