Re: Headlight headlamp bulb replacement 2011 Caprice 9C3

Thanks Gene, I also ordered a couple adapter rings off Amazon to make this happen just haven't had a chance to install them when I get off work. It gets dark so early and its probably darn near 55 deg. And freezing outside. Lol

Re: AFM/DOD Delete, Cam, Headers, Intake, Tuning Info Needed

Thanks O'lblue68, so aren't they hydraulic allowing a bit of leeway? And is there some standard pushrod lengths available for are motors or are the machines to the exact length we call out?.

Re: DOD delete, converter, etc.... pull motor ?

This is new to me, plugging the oil relief hole?
Does melling mention this when installing their pumps?
And another motor builder mentioned something about shiming the new pump out? What the heck does that do? This is all new to me, I'm used to SB and BBC motors "ol skool" but eager to learn.

Re: AFM/DOD Delete, Cam, Headers, Intake, Tuning Info Needed

Hey guys, I'm compiling a shopping list for the cam swap and cant quite get a straight answer on push rod length. Comp cams says I need to do the geometry? What exactly are they referring to, rocker angle ? At full lift? Any help would be great. And since you mentioned Converters I was gonna stay ar...

Hey does anyone have a recommendation when upgrading to H7 LEDs? When Amazon sends you these bitchen fan cooled lights they dont work with our oem retainers? I know adapter ring/retainers are available but which ones are correct for our application? LED bulb supplier dosnt know either.

Re: High beam bulb retainer

Hi Steve, I'm trying to install some LED H7 high beams and of course our retainer clips dont work because the LED wont fit thru our oem retainer. I've seen the adapter rings on Amazon but how do know which one would work with any one particular LED? The seller on Amazon where I bought the lights don...

Re: Just back from new camshaft tuning Question

I'm still kicking the idea around that I may just do the cam swap myself but without all the crazy head work, what do I have to lose. I forgot to ask and am not sure about new push rods? Comp cams tech said I'll have to figure out the geometry first before they can tell me what length. WHAT! the bes...

Re: Just back from new camshaft tuning Question

Just to follow up on that quote I got from a pretty good LS motor builder out here in CA. He doesn't really have any dissatisfied customers and some of the other shops say they can do the work but not real knowledgeable with actual motor builds and they were still around $5 grand with most but not p...

Re: Just back from new camshaft tuning Question

I'm So jealous, that sounds badass! I know Texas speed says you can use the stock converter but when I ran those specs by the techs at Comp cams they really recommend at least a 2400 stall. Have you noticed any stumbling upon a hard take off from a dead stop?
