Random question...Do G8 mirrors fit a Caprice? Or can you order regular Caprice mirrors from Australia?
I feel like body colored mirrors would look better than the flat black.
I think painted mirrors would be a nice upgrade to go along with painted door handles.

Re: Caprice 9C1/SS compatability
I agree with Tom. I don't know what GM was thinking when they originally designed the car. Cops pretty much always drive column shift cars and that makes sense. Ford and Dodge figured that out and offered them on their new cop cars from the start. If you work in a city or in a department where you d...

Re: Missing front bumper cover clips?
I think what xcidmigs is talking about it the missing cooler in front of the radiator. If you notice all the cars except the one in the first picture have an auxiliary cooler (for tranny or Power steering) behind the grille in front of the radiator. The cooler is not present on the black car.

Re: TECH 2 scantool
So suppose I find a real Tech 2 scan tool. I notice there are a million software versions. Can I update the software to use on newer cars? I assume that It would be downloaded but I don't see GM throwing out software updates for free.

Re: TPMS woes
Is it possible to just disable or have someone disable or adjust the settings for TPMS? I'm assuming it can't be done with a regular tuner and a dealer won't do it for liability reasons.

I found the installation instructions: http://www.airpowersystems.com/guides/apspg8-tts01/apspg8-tts01.htm" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; I believe you have to contact a dealer for pricing on these kits...I think they are in the 6-7k range (plus install). I feel like if you...

Has anyone looked into these?
I don't know if any of you have seem this or if it can be adapted to fit on a Caprice but if someone has the money it is probably worth a look.

Re: Exhaust Drone
Getting rid of AFM is an easy option but its does not "solve" the drone issue technically. I don't own a Caprice (yet) but with the amount of driving I do I'd probably leave the AFM alone. I just want to know how to set up an exhaust that eliminates drone...but sounds decent. This is reall...

Re: Exhaust Drone
I don't think I ever realized exhaust could be quite so complicated... Would I be correct in saying that technically these cars (Caprice) really need to have two different exhaust systems because essentially with AFM activated we have two engines with different sounds characteristics? Clearly, two e...
