I'm at about 11.2:1 after milling 0.020" with 0.040" head gaskets. Lots of guys mill 0.030" with no problems. Don't worry about valve reliefs reducing compression. Milling the fins is what another member did for clearance. Seemed to work well.

I’ve read other posts that those things don’t fit under a stock hood without milling the top. What’s your solution?
