This: Whiteline Plus Strut Mount Bushings and Bearings - 2004-2006 Pontiac GTO & 2008-2009 Pontiac G8 Not sure if they're 'new and improved', or not. I just replaced both of my strut bushings and while one was cracked it was the plastic bearing that made me laugh! This piece is junk! I honestly...

Re: Stock 1/4 mile performance
These engines run really hot which is one of the reasons the DOD lifters fail due to improper oil maintenance. I cannot let mine sit and idle as the temps will climb to over 250 degrees with the A/C on. Once it hits 244 degrees it shuts the A/C compressor off but it will still climb. I can only assu...

Will Corvette Z06 wheels fit
I have a chance to buy four Corvette Z06 wheels at a great price with tires and wondering if anyone has checked the fitment of these on a Caprice or seen them on a G8.
The fronts are 18x9.5 with 275/35-18
The rears are 19x12 with 325/30-19

Need 2 Stock Steel Wheels
As the title shows... I am in need of two stock, straight & unbent steel wheels. I went to Discount Tire last week before heading on a road trip to find out my rear wheels are bent and causing the vibration I have in the car. I am currently in the Columbia, SC area. Does anyone have the part num...

Re: Pontiac G8 carpet in Caprice PPV
Why not make the cut just under the front seats, and extend it back as needed?

Re: Just Ordered My Parts!
Whose headers are they?
Can you post the suppliers of the parts and if you have their contact, that would be great for future reference.
Thanks!

Re: Cam install and DOD hardware delete
I was going to use the LS2 valley cover but decided to keep the stock one since all the ports are blocked anyways and I wanted to be able to plug in the harness for a stock look.
Before getting it tuned, it drove fine with no CEL and it did try to go into 4-cyl mode.

Re: oil cooler delete - parts information
Synthetic oil is not the issue here... when the oil temps climb, the viscosity rating the oil was certified at goes out the window. When oil viscosities are developed, the formulation is done at a standard operating temperature. When you exceed those parameters, you have serious issues. We just spen...

Re: Header Questions
lol I just checked out the Kooks and they're only $900! I spent $1250 on my Stainless Works headers. I like the way it sounds though. Good luck with your project. I'd like to see pictures of your oil cooler when it's done. Well I still have to get the car here from Kentucky, but my Pace Setter head...
