Re: F/S: Modded 2011 Caprice PPV 9C3 (wrecked)

Thanks to everyone for their comments and interest ...
From my Craigslist ad I have a local guy who was on it straight away, and has agreed to purchase for full asking price.
Deal should be going down today or tomorrow ... if he defaults I will let all interested parties know ...

Thanks again ...

Re: Let's open the flood gates of discussion, shall we? CAI

FYI ... I plugged my scan tool in and came up with these IAT results ... just in case someone with a CAI has done this post-install and has some numbers to compare ... My car is a 2011 9C3 with 29K miles on the clock ... all original under the hood ... just modded the exhaust so far .. Drive to work...

OrgDnr

We talked about air intake temps before ... I think I'm going to pull the trigger on the TFS unit, and I'll have something to compare it to since I already have the numbers from the "drive to & from work" with the stock set-up now ...

Re: Let's open the flood gates of discussion, shall we? CAI

JPalmer ... We sound like we are thinking along the same lines ... similar conservative mods expecting similar results ... This is the CAI I am looking at ... http://www.trickflow.com/parts/tfs-23082" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; It states it is made for TFS by K&N, so...

Let's open the flood gates of discussion, shall we? CAI ...

Opinions, please ... open element CAI (like a K&N Aircharger) ... not in general, but for our cars specifically ... In theory ... the more air in, the better. The colder this air is, even better. I get that. Light modding like the CAI joined with a less restrictive exhaust and a tune, and there ...

Re: Any current info on a programmer, or a custom tuner in S

Thanks to all for all the great info ... looking into all of them ... I was also referred by a local shop that tuned my Camaro to a guy named Shawn Ellis ... had an interesting conversation with him yesterday as well ... he claims that the tune alone on these cars (G8/Caprice/SS) can make more of a ...

Any current info on a programmer, or a custom tuner in So CA

Most of the posts on this subject seem to be a bit dated ... exhaust is done, and soon to get my CAI ... Is anyone making a programmer with a "canned" tune yet? Or do I have to look for a local shop to do a custom tune? If so, anyone know a shop in So Cal that can do it? Thanks in advance ...

Re: 3.45 Differential install

Sorry for being late to the party on this thread .... But am I correct in my thinking from this post that the Camaro diff is a DIRECT bolt-in replacement? Mounts, driveshaft, axle shafts, electronic connections ... ALL the same? I know you did a bushing upgrade, and from the pics the Camaro diff loo...
