2014 Caprice 3.6L Radiator
My PPV is in storage at the moment, so I am unable to go outside to look. Would someone answer these questions, please? 1- where is the petcock for draining the radiator? driver/passenger side? Bottom, or side tank? Easy to access? 2- how much coolant is in the radiator? for example: if I captured t...

Replace v6 cooling system thermostat
Has anyone opened up the thermostat housing assembly (92249137, $100) and replaced just the thermostat? Seems like such a waste of aluminum and money to replace the entire assembly just to install a new thermostat. The problem is: I watch my dash Coolant Temp display vary from 60F (startup from over...

Lower honeycomb grill PN 92156882
Can anyone provide advice about this part number? it's the lower grill on a Commodore, the center piece below the main grille. On the PPV, this area is left wide open. I'm thinking about closing it off not because of appearance necessarily, but to prevent large debris from kicking up and killing the...

what is the Elite Engineering part number that you used? The mounting bracket on the block- is it very close to the serpentine belt at the bottom?

Roof moldings
My 2014 black rubber(?) moldings were replaced twice under warranty for losing luster and becoming pitted. I suppose Australia does not have Southern California sun beating on horizontal surfaces like the roof. My cars out of warranty now, any ideas how to preserve the new ones I have? Are everyone ...

Re: 55w H11 highbeams
Thanks. Doing anything to this car takes a lot more thinking that working on less electronically monitored cars of the past. That thin wiring feeding the headlights scares me. I guess I could use the thin wire feed to trigger a second relay with heavier wires, but that would be a mess. During the la...

55w H11 highbeams
Does anyone know what reaction the BDC will have if I switch out the original 55w H11 high-beams and put in 100w ones? That would be an increase of 4.333 amps draw per side (from 4.6amp to 8.3amp)

Re: AGM battery
I was hanging around at Sam's Club killing time. I looked up Caprice batteries because I didn't have anything else to do waiting at their tire center. 2014+ uses a smaller battery (still AGM) for both 2011-2013 and 2014+, the same part number in traditional lead-acid shows higher specifications (CCA...

If you really have a 2014, then you have electric steering.
