Plastic inserts show a bit of usage, but really are still in great shape. gaskets and harnesses included. These are original parts with GM part numbers, not aftermarket. $200 shipped anywh...

Re: chevrolet caprice ppv europe import
Small update for those interested. Dekra saved my ass. The papers they provided made the inspection much, much easier. I still had to go through TÜV for the main inspection, but they were also helpful and reasonable. I only had to add a rear fog light. I actually ended up just replacing the left rev...

Re: chevrolet caprice ppv europe import
Thanks for the help! Looks like Dekra can provide me with the emission certificate and Headlight certificate. Looks like it wont have a proper EURO5 rating though. It will be a "30ZZ" form, which I think is unique for american imported cars. More info Here: http://www.kba.de/DE/Statistik/B...

Re: chevrolet caprice ppv europe import
The vehicle has arrived now in Germany and now the fun begins. My first challenge is finding a "Datenblatt" for the vehicle - essentially a TUV approved technical data sheet. Theoretically, if the car has been imported before, it should exist. Unfortunately TUV says they cant find it. If a...

Re: chevrolet caprice ppv europe import
I was also just made aware that R134a is now banned in Germany (possible Europe?), and that the Air conditioning system needs to be evacuated prior to arrival. A certificate, and sticker needs to be placed in the car.

Re: chevrolet caprice ppv europe import
Looks like I will also need a rear fog light - as seen in this pic below. Not too bad.

Re: chevrolet caprice ppv europe import
That doesn't seem too bad at all. I'm still curious if I will really need to do it. Most of the pictures in here seem to point to yes, however the OP has his caprice in belgium and if i recall correctly did not have the fender indicators in. To be honest I would love to just keep the black plastic i...

Re: chevrolet caprice ppv europe import
Ah, this thread was meant for me, and I only saw it now! I'm in the process of importing my PPV to Germany right now. We'll see how difficult it will be. So far I already put the Aus LED tail lights on, so rear orange signals wont be an issue. But after reading the post above, i hope i wont have to ...

Re: euro ppv
Hi - how difficult was it for the caprice to meet Belgian emission standards? Was it difficult to import the car in general? Are you familiar at all with German TUV standards and if it's possible to bring that car into Germany? Thank you!
