Re: The no budget build - manual, LSA, SS

Oh I know Matty, I've already slung him a fair bit of change for some interior stuff. I'll chat him up. Appreciate the responses and again, awesome build and I hope you're enjoying it.

Re: The no budget build - manual, LSA, SS

Having done this amazing swap, do you think just the manual swap on a 14+ is feasible? Having done a manual swap on both 11-13 and 14+ I would say the 14+ is easier, both in terms of the actual swap, and in finding the needed parts. What about computer issues for someone that doesn't want to do the...

Re: Hello, Question, and Hood Latch/Wiring Picture Request

Hello Steve, I appreciate the thought. I actually went down that route, trying to do it the "right" way. The trick is that my car was in an accident before I got it and most of the front end panels were replaced. The hood was replaced with an earlier one, and the hood latch was an earlier ...

Re: Hello, Question, and Hood Latch/Wiring Picture Request

Following up on an old post. I ended up finding and grounding out the brown/green wire with a 2.2k ohm resistor and that fooled the car into thinking the hood was closed. Remote start back in business.

Re: Noise in rear when turning

Found the issue. Turns out it's not the rear at all, my ears were playing tricks apparently. The car was in a front end accident before I bought it, which I knew about. The dealer I bought it from had put it back together and it looked mostly ok. I inspected it from underneath, frame rails looked go...

Noise in rear when turning

The car is a 2014. So I'm getting some kind of noise in the rear when turning. I notice it mostly with right turns and it definitely seems to be a rotating mass. I also noticed it when I did the test drive (bought the car last week), but was able to get it up on the lift at the dealer and I didn't s...

Re: Hello, Question, and Hood Latch/Wiring Picture Request

Steve, you legend, thank you for the great response! We've had a lovely day here in central IL, from temperatures in the teens to the high 50s, so I went outside to check things out. The washer pump was unplugged, but the connector is nowhere to be found. Looks like a 2 wire, and from that lovely di...

Hello, Question, and Hood Latch/Wiring Picture Request

Hi! New to the forum, thanks for having me. Picked up a 6.0L 2014 PPV on Monday. 58k miles on the clock, less than 1k idle hours. It was a state police car that was in a pretty gnarly front end accident, but the damage was mostly cosmetic. A small dealer bought it and put it back together, albeit sh...
