Re: Good Mechanic / Engine Rebuilder

Jerry at Medford Speed in NJ is an old timer who does great work. He's a few months out though. I'm going to Alderman Machines in Delaware for my turbo build.

2012 9C1 Turbo Build

Going to be starting my tear down and motor build so will try to document as best I can. Car is a 2012 9C1 NJ Port Authority car. 80k on the car when I got it at an insurance auction in Long Island. Could the display be taken out up top in favor of a double din, and maintain the hvac by supplying power, ground an...

Not well versed in diagnosing electrical issues, how do I check voltage drop? Just monitor voltage at each component while hot and cranking ?

Re: P0335 Slow Cranking When Hot

Little update and hoping to get some more input. I replaced the main battery with an AGM unit, cleaned up the main ground and replaced the bolt and removed most of the police wiring that was left in the trunk. Seemed to improve the symptoms a little but i’m still occasionally getting a slow crank an...

Turbo

I’ve only seen one member on here with a turbo build. Anybody else done it on a caprice?

I’ve seen a few twin set ups on G8s, interested in any single turbo builds.

s/c'd cav wrote: Mon Mar 09, 2020 2:10 pm when electrical parts get hot , their resistance gets higher , meaning slow crank , cables when hot mean you dont get full voltage or signal from one place to the other
So would this point to a poor ground? Or a dying battery?
