Re: Kooks headers and midpipe

Mine was able to be pushed up then tightened down to clear the brace. Be careful tugging on your harness to plug in the driver side oxygen sensor. You may find yourself soldering a new eyelet on the ground wire that got broke off the rear of the driver cylinder head (in a very tight place) and still...

Re: Wheel alignment data sheet

Here's the sheet I got with my alignment.
The "specified range" columns show what it is suposed to be.
The toe is in inches- idk what you use, you may have to convert units.

Wheel hop fixes?

Any usual suspects for causes of the wheel hop?
The car has poly diff bushings, new springs (SS), struts, lower arms, and toe links. 4 wheel suspension alignment. All other parts seem OK.
Has had the wheel hop before the new parts and still does.

Well, thanks for checking.
IDK how I ended up with wrong AM parts, then wrong GM parts. Hopefully 3rd attempt will be right!!

Re: Tie rod blues

The new tie rod stud is flush with the nut when tight where the original stud extends through the nut. There are the nylon locking nuts w/o cotter pins- no way can this be right.

Re: Tie rod blues

I already returned the aftermarket parts and don't have the receipt for those part #s
I have since ordered GM tie rods that also turned out to have short studs.
Gm # 92198275 (left) - pictured with the original left side that I just took off the car.
And GM # 92198274 (right) not in pic
Thanks

Tie rod blues

I'm having trouble finding outer tie rods for my 2011.
Ordered aftermarket and the stud is shorter then the original.
Ordered GM oem and still short (92198275)
Any ideas?
Thanks

Re: Rear spring replacement tips?

I took the lower control arm completely off. 1 bolt at the hub, stabilizer bar link, and the alignment bolt at the frame. The cammed adjustment bolts BROKE OFF and I had to wait for replacements. Would have been an issue for the alignment anyway. Also there the springs have to be clocked just right ...
