2015 Key FOB only works in/near car
So the car came with two key fobs, both of which worked fine until today. The only way I can get them to lock and unlock the doors, is to button mash them and the fob has to be in the car, or within 1ft of the exterior. Same for the trunk except the button mashing. Haven't tried the remote start. If...

Camaro cat restriction.
I just bought an 11 Camaro exhaust to use on my 15 PPV and was surprised to see the cat restriction compared to the Caprice. The Camaro has what looks like an insert that necks the pipe down to about 1.75" whereas the Caprice cat inlet measured at about 2.4". The Camaro was an L99 car thou...

Engine removal help.
Bout to pull the engine on my 2015 and had a couple questions; 1) Has anyone pulled the engine only from the top using a 1 ton hoist? Does the bumper and crash absorber have to come off? 2) Are there any hidden grounds I should know of? 3) Does the tranny have to be supported after being disconnecte...

Steering wheel controls/horn don't work
I had to remove my steering wheel a couple times and in doing so caused the controls to stop working. I removed it last night and noticed that the buttons did not light up, but worked. Volume, source, voice command etc all worked fine. I removed it this morning to resolve an issue with clock spring ...

Re: Caprice shifter stuck in park
Ok, got that issue fixed, and in return created another. Now the steering wheel controls/horn button don't work lol. I think I pinched the harness and broke a wire. I'll make a new thread about this in the electronics section.

Re: Caprice shifter stuck in park
So I fixed the shifter issue. The bolts holding the shifter assembly on can be accessed by removing the radio/silver box and the the shifter boot. 3 t27 bolts(in green) hold in place. It can be finagled out from below after removing the knee air bag. 3 smaller t25 bolts(in red) hold the solenoid in ...

Re: Caprice shifter stuck in park
I already removed the tremco as I thought that was the culprit. The bladder was originally disconnected so I reconnected it. Both the bladder and electrical switch made the tremco box beep when the brake was applied, which meant that they worked as they should, but I wanted to eliminate the easy thi...

Caprice shifter stuck in park
Hey all, new owner/longtime lurker here. Bought a 2015 Caprice at auction and I believe the shift lock solenoid is bad. The lever wont shift out of park. I hear a clicking in the dash when the lever is pulled forward, but it stays locked in park. The connector that goes to the solenoid is supplying ...
