Re: Headers, Coated or raw
I finally got my JBA's on and had my exhaust guy build a 2 1/2" system with an X pipe. Just the headers and some Magnaflow mufflers, no cats. I did not put the secondary o2 sensors in. Added a Rotofab intake at the same time. The car sounds great and since it is a 9C3 it is a blast to shift it ...

O2 Sensor Extension
I am getting ready to install the JBA long tubes on my '12 9C3.
I ordered the suggested Casper Electronics 109226 when I got the headers.
Are these the correct length?
If you have these long tubes on your Caprice, which O2 extensions did you use, and at what length?
Thank you.

Re: Headers, Coated or raw
Thanks for the insight. I have always run headers on my cars and never had them coated but all my other rides were older, without so many electronics and such a tight engine bay.

Headers, Coated or raw
I just ordered the JBA longtubes for my 2012 9C3.
For those running headers of any type are you running them coated or not?
If not are you having any trouble with under hood heat. I'm trying to decide if these need to go to Jet-Hot before they are installed.
Thanks

Re: Winter handling/traction
I haven't driven my '12 or '13 in the snow. Both are too low. They get to spend salt season in a shed. My winter car is a '96 Roadmaster sedan. To prepare it for this duty I put a new posi in the rear and bought SNOW tires. If I get caught with the summer tires the car goes nowhere. Real snow tires ...

Re: Traction control button
That is what I thought as well which is why I question if it is a 9C3 thing?

Traction control button
I just picked up a 2012 9C3 and the traction control button does not seem to do what it does in my 2013 9C1. In the '13 pushing it once gives me "Performance Mode" and the car slides the rear end out with ease almost as if it's on a wet road. From a stop, starting out left or right the car...

2012 9C3
While not new to these Caprices, I am headed to OH tomorrow to pick up new to me 9C3
Low miles, Low idle time.
I got a rental car to drive there and then bring this back home.
the rental is a 2021 Challenger R/T.
should be a fun day of driving.

Re: New pipes
This is an all new custom bent system. Not a kit. The flex joint between my exhaust manifold and the cat was cracked. This flex joint has a sleeve inside with a diameter of less than 2". I had all of that removed and new pipes starting right at the exhaust manifolds eliminating that joint and t...

New pipes
I just had all new exhaust done for my '13 Caprice. Replaced everything from the manifold back with 2.5, X-pipe and 40 series Flowmasters. Cats were removed and I am surprised there are no CEL.
Do I need to have it tuned?
