Re: 2011 Caprice PPV FSM three-volume set for sale

You would think someone would jump on them, but looking on Facebook, it appears most just want to put tires, wheels, cam and exhaust on their car. I guess they aren’t interested in fixing anything else.

Re: Brake light on dash and no cruise control

Have you cleared the vacuum pump code? I believe the pump only runs a little while during cold start-up. Have you checked to see if the pump runs?

Re: Brake light on dash and no cruise control

Hook up a decent scan tool that will show the live data on all 12 modules. It might show you something. Never have had just the brake light on any of my fleet of 11-13’s, so no personal experience.

Re: To all my 2013 Caprice owners

I have been driving 11-13’s for the last 6 years. The biggest problems I have had with them are speed sensors, TPMS and miscellaneous water leaks. They seem to be solid cars if they have not been butchered up by civilian owners. I prefer the 12’s due to the matching rear door panels and radio’s that...

Re: DEALER PROGRAMMED NEW KEYS BUT DOOR LOCKS DONT WORK

I believe there is a limit to the number of fobs that can be programmed into the system. Pretty sure can purge the file of old fobs with a decent scan tool.

Re: Tire Pressure System Fault

The ABS is unrelated to the TPMS issue. Probably have a speed sensor getting wacky. I believe I have had a speed sensor failure on about ever car in the fleet. Hopefully it is the rears instead of a front that requires a hub assembly replacement. I have gotten to I ignore the intermittent ABS light ...

Re: Water dripping from under drivers side floorboard

The car came with a breather from the factory. It may have gotten brittle from the heat and was damaged during previous repairs.

Re: Water dripping from under drivers side floorboard

The evap core drain is on the upper part of the driver side of the trans tunnel. The water usually drips off of the driver side of the transmission. Hole is circled and the picture is of a car that had the firewall shoved back by the engine, so the area where the hole is is a little bent up. IMG_710...

Re: Water dripping from under drivers side floorboard

Sounds like it is just condensation from the evap core. It usually drips of the transmission.

Re: Verifying 9C3

Another little tidbit of info. The 9C3’s and the carpeted 9C1’s do not have a screw holding the rear door sill cover on. Most folks that are swapping the carpet are probably not getting those trim pieces.
