Re: Exhaust, rear diff swap, DOD delete, and LSA Supercharge

It made about 7 pounds at 5400ish rpm on the stock ZL1 manifolds and cats. I'm sure it's lower with the new exhaust setup. It also seems to run a bit cooler. Being that it runs about 10 to 1 air/fuel ratio at wide open throttle, I'm sure that I could change the pulleys and add another 100ish horsepo...

Re: Exhaust, rear diff swap, DOD delete, and LSA Supercharge

I finally got the car retuned for the long tube headers and to chase down an annoying problem where the car would occasionally pull power under full throttle pulls. It turned out that the car was going into DOD mode under a certain set of circumstances. I thought I had completely disabled it, but it...

Re: Exhaust, rear diff swap, DOD delete, and LSA Supercharge

It was a good experiment to see how well the Camaro headers worked, since they're super common and can be had for very reasonable prices. The caprices on the other hand, are not so common and there are only a few options out there. I ended up modifying mine way too much, but at least those who read ...

Re: Exhaust, rear diff swap, DOD delete, and LSA Supercharge

Just some final notes on the Ebay Camaro headers project. When I was test fitting, I was not using the supplied 1/8 inch gasket. If I was, I would have noticed that the driver's side manifold needed only very minor massaging if any at all to clear the oil cooler, I'm thinking that I probably could h...

Re: Exhaust, rear diff swap, DOD delete, and LSA Supercharge

Here are a few different views in regards to how low the headers hang. 20170810_111036.jpg 20170810_111048.jpg 20170810_111102.jpg 20170810_113002.jpg 20170810_113030.jpg Just one more note if anyone goes the low price/ high labor route. The steering shaft moves side to side a little as it rotates. ...

Re: Exhaust, rear diff swap, DOD delete, and LSA Supercharge

Yes, I'll post up some photos when I get out to weld up the last two exhaust hangers.
