Re: Best Current Brand for Rotors

I swapped in Camaro Brembo front calipers. Search this site for details. These mate with Caprice rotors. The GM Pads I use PN 1711141 (metallic) were manufactured by Brembo (branded Brembo) and came OEM on Camaro's. 1711141 is no longer manufactured and I don't know the equivalent PN. I suspect ther...

Re: Donations module is now operational!

Donated. Will hesitantly do so again considering PayPal is such a piece of shit globohomo censoring "merchant" company.

Would be great if an alternative to Paypal were available.

Re: 2014 Caprice in Montana

The DOD likely destroyed the camshaft and lifters. You are going to delete the DOD right? Also consider switching to LS3 valve springs if you're going to spin the RPMs up.

Re: Best Current Brand for Rotors

My Caprice has Brembo front and stock rear calipers. I use metallic pads in nearly all my vehicles. Front: RAYBESTOS 580676P (High Performance) Specialty - Police Disc front rotors. Wll purchase again. GM GENUINE 1711141 pads ***These will not fit OEM floating PPV calipers, Brembo only *** Rear: RAY...

Re: Finally broke 11s with the stock converter

If the time comes that you swap the the TC and want similar street manners consider the Chevrolet Performance 24045127 (CTSV and Camaro ZL1) from Summit. Great price, available, and as best I can tell slightly, nearly negligible higher stall than stock. So now run 1/4 opposite direction uphill..... ...

Re: SS Thefts are off the charts

A thief took 7 minutes to steal my 2002 Suburban. Police didn't even want the security video. The suburban was recovered a year later completely stripped down to the shell. Since then I have a combination of kill switch, steering or pedal lock, and GPS tracker on all my cars. I would have added IED'...

Re: Balancer question/help

Red thread locker in the crank shaft, yikes. I've always used the ARP brand bolt kit for ease of installation . Like Stoner says, check belt alignment and bearings. I usually replace pullies, idler, and belt as preventative maintenance just because I'm already there. Sometimes I can troubleshoot bad...

Follow up, not even year later and the service port leaks. Absolute piece of shit assembly.
