It would make a good parts car for a G8 guy that wanted to swap in that dash/stereo.
Or a Caprice guy, but probably not worth doing all the work instead of just buying a newer model.

Re: tapshift in 9c1?
It was not plug and play exactly. White auto is on here that's one how i found him. I had to have him reprogram the BCM( i actually just bought a new one programmed from him) I i also had to re-pin the harness and make that box, which mimics the G8/9C3 shifter's control board. The way the box works...

Re: Potential new owner...how bad is the MPG?
Honestly, I have no complaints about millage with this car. I'm putting 330 miles back and forth to work each week, and one fill-up of the 16 gallon tank gets it mostly done. I must be getting 18-20 mpg if I do the math with the 16 gallon tank, but I'm only putting 87 in, unlike my Formula where I'm...

Analog gauges displayed on the Touchscreen
I so want this when it is ready, if it will be available for our cars! I just found it on facebook, don't know anything else about it or the company https://www.facebook.com/jsbperformance/posts/781180038678016" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; https://scontent-lga3-1.xx.fbcdn...

Tap Shift for a 9C1 with a G8 Shifter
Hi, I wanted to know if you can add Tap Shift to a 9C1 using a G8 shifter (or 9C3 shifter same difference as far as I can tell). My assumption is yes, as you seem to have done it for Kevin Sullivan, but honestly I don't know if that was a one off of some sorts, or just putting in the factory tap shi...

Re: tapshift in 9c1?
I have a working setup right now. I did it last year so I kinda forgot what i did. I did however NOT use a G8 shifter i made a "shift box" so i have a switch for sport on/off and then a upshift button and a downshift button. If you want to use a G8 shifter you will need to replace a bunch...

Re: Horns not working. Anyone have the diagram?
Thanks to all! That was easy :) I found the 2 brown/black under the dash both ends were connected to black wires running to the right kick panel. The brown/black both appeared to have female ends (it was early, will look at them again later), so I cut the two black wires coming off of them and twist...

Horns not working. Anyone have the diagram?
The horns in my car are not working when I press on the steering wheel (or at all for that matter). Does anyone have the wiring diagram for the horn circuit under the hood after the fuse box? Right behind the grille I have two cut wiring looms. On the passenger side it has 4 wires - green, blue, ora...

Re: Potential new owner...how bad is the MPG?
So far, so good with the MPG. I was able to get 26.x mpg avg on the way home from work if I was watching the instant and kept it in 4cyl mode. It is a very slight down hill grade most of the way home. Of course as soon as I got off the highway, the average mpg dropped into the 21-22 range. A few 0-1...
