Re: Charging system issues. Any suggestions

Did you change to an underdrive harmonic balancer? That can affect charging.

Have you got a tune to match the turbo? You would also want to get a proper tune done, because RPM settings can affect the alternator charging correctly as well.

Re: Front turn signal alarm

Did you check your taillight bulb? Typically hyperflash is present when the CANBUS system senses a burnt out bulb, which in your case would be front or rear on the passenger side.

Or if you used LEDs, a resistor that came loose from the circuit. Would also apply to front and rear.

Re: Canuck Caprice

Wow that guy doesn't look like he has much experience!

An 8 year old with a Sawzall would've known to cut those at the flanges.

I would light him and the service manager up big time. What a complete joke.

Definitely get some of your money back. $1300 for that job is straight highway robbery!

Re: Value Tip - Hood Lift Struts

+1 on the Ram struts. Bought the 18 dollar pair on Amazon and they're perfect length.

Re: Front brake rotors feel warped

Oh yeah, that's their kind of price. They're good quality too. I always get the black powder coated ones, but that's just me. I have their front and rear packages on my Silverado and Caprice, powder coated, cross drilled and slotted. No complaints here. Just did a rear brake job on a 2004 Buick Cent...

Re: Front brake rotors feel warped

Check out http://maxbrakes.com Their packages are super reasonable and offer regular rotors to cross drilled and slotted, whatever you prefer at a great price point. Their semi metallic pads are their upgrade from ceramic. Long story short I've done probably 10 brake jobs with their products for the...

New whiteline bushings

I replaced every single front suspension part summer of last year, and was not impressed with the end result. After getting an alignment the steering was noticeably looser than before. I decided the only thing left would be hubs/bearings or replace the old rubber strut mounts. So I did it in a coupl...

Re: Foctory Remote Start

Yeah, not achievable without WAMS, there's no option for remote start BCM programming through TIS. It's definitely a proprietary patch done by WAMS.

Easiest is TIS and VXdiag, but yes it could in theory be done by dealer too. But probably for an arm and a leg.

Re: Foctory Remote Start

Smwalker, in my Remote Start adventure thread. I did the same process. Moose and I talked quite a bit about it. Bought new fobs, paired and matched, bought 40 dollar TIS subscription, flashed RKE and Immobilizer modules for yes remote start. Using VXdiag. Bought new hood latch with connector. Car fl...
