Re: Sound Deadener / Deadening / Sound Proofing Thread

Hey Steve (smwalker)
I'm about to get the (felt type)front wheel liners and filler pieces from the SS. I wanted to ask if it has made a difference that you can notice? Also will the rear wheel liners from an SS fit the PPV? Thank you in advance!!

Re: Sun Visor Clips

removing the inner metal retaining clip (from the roof) and putting the sun visor clip pieces all together in your hand makes it 10 times easier. Put it together THEN clip it right back in the hole. I could never get the plastic slide retainer in correctly while it was still in the roof and your arm...

Re: OFFICIAL Master Production List - All Years

To respond to the question of how you know it's a demo car.. My Dad and I both bought very low mile cars a 2014 and a 2017. The 2017 has the RPO code in the build sheet for "show car" and the other one is a 2014 with a pre-production RPO code. Since the production Vins are posted I came to...

Re: Low mileage Underbody/Exterior rattle at idle, not suspension

Was under the car with it on jackstands and can replicate the sound by tapping on the mid/crossover ehxaust assembly. No interference with transmission brace or the second tunnel brace more towards the rear. I checked the top of the mufflers and theres no splitting on the top. Watching videos of loo...

stock exhaust middle section/piece after cats

I'm looking for a mid exhaust system in good shape that someone removed from their car when upgrading exhaust. Need the middle piece that connects to both converters and ends at the muffler connections. Thank you!

Re: Door rattle

I've read that the rattling when they are down is considered normal but there is a TSB about the PPV front windows falling out of the track when windows are down and door is closed forcefully. Although mine or yours is out of the track I figured the solution might fix the window rattle. The TSB says...

Low mileage Underbody/Exterior rattle at idle, not suspension

I have a constant rattle at idle and above rpms that I'm almost positive is exhaust related. Its a 2014 with 14,000 miles and is in like new condition (besides the dam rattle) I've checked if any heat shields are contacting the exhaust and all are clear. Im going to put it up on ramps to find the ex...

Re: Transmission

The V6 whines out at a much higher RPM than the V8; to 7,200 RPMs which I believe is part why it has a different trans. V6 and 6L50 is lighter. My Dad can beat up your Dad.
