Re: Another 3.45 thread...
What about getting the 1LE rear diff with it's 3.91 dirt? Has anyone tried those? With the factory running gear or a LS3 and Tremec 6 speed. I'm really wanting a PPV to swap a LS3 and Tremec 6 speed with a 1LE diff. I put 3.91s in my 3.45 rear. What do you want to know? Not sure what you mean by &q...

Re: LS3 Tremec 6 speed and 1LE diff
The 1LE diff will bolt right in. You can also buy GM 3.91 gears for a couple hundred bucks and put them into a 5th gen Camaro rear that never came with 3.91s and bolt that right in. That is probably easier than locating a 1LE diff.

Re: value in the years to come
A few never made it into police hands and those may be more valuable to a collector. Documented Criswell cars may give those some niche value, considering what Criswell tried to do (giving GM the middle finger). With their dealer-installed upgrades. But alas, I know of only 3 that got sold, accordi...

Re: P/N for transmission cooling quick connector at radiator
If anyone ever wants to plumb AN lines to/from the radiator, -6 Russell o-ring boss fittings work perfectly (part # 670840). I have had them in my radiator for a few years with no issues. http://www.russellperformance.com/mc/adapter-fittings/an.shtml https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0014B7X5Y/ref=...

Re: High stall converters in the twisties?
Modern high stall converters can be built so they aren't slippy at all when you're just driving normally. I have a 3800 Circle D in mine and I wish it was looser. They can build them to feel tight until you really get into the throttle. But as mentioned, it's best to have a reputable converter compa...

Re: Engine Angle?
Steve Walker I swapped out my 6L80 for a 4L80 and I am building a new trans crossmember. So yes the engine mounts are not adjustable but I can change the angle depending on the height I set my trans crossmember. I would slap the 6l80 back in really quick then measure the angle. That's all I would t...

Re: 2.5 vs 2.25 diameter exhaust
Just for the sake of argument... You run your 600hp car with a 2.5" exhaust system and run an 11.00. What would it have run with a 3" system making 615? About 10.90. That is a result whether you felt it or not. Drag racing is not about feeling, but time slips. A car putting down 1200-1800h...

Re: 2.5 vs 2.25 diameter exhaust
Of course you would. The difference from 600-615hp at about 4000 pounds is around a tenth of a second. That's huge! I agree that you won't feel it on the street, though. You can't put that kind of power down on the street, even with a 275/60/15 tire on these cars. It just spins. But it's power none ...
