Yes, it will, but the standard G8 diff is the same 2.92:1 ratio as what you already have. If you wanted a better ratio, you'd need a G8 GXP rear, which is going to be pretty rare. It's a 3.27:1 ratio for automatic cars, or 3.70:1 for manual cars. A newer Camaro diff will also work. They come in 3.27...

If it's a 2011, there's not much you can do. You cannot completely turn off the traction control on '11s. If it's any other year, hold the traction control button for a minimum of 5 seconds.
