Re: 2.5 vs 2.25 diameter exhaust

I was skeptical after reading this thread and my friend reminded me about a vid I'd seen on youtube. I was ready to leave the exhaust alone. Engine masters on the motor trend channel had done this a while ago and no, their 514 making like 650+ on the engine dyno doesn't really compare... But all ot...

Re: 2.5 vs 2.25 diameter exhaust

At 600, you're definitely going to want a full 3" mandrel bent system. Do you need it? NO. Will you make more power with it? Yes, most likely.

Re: Quickjack

Lifting any car by the pinch welds is a terrible idea. The only reason it's a thing at all is because that's how you need to do it on the side of the road with the crappy scissor jack.

Maurice
Yep, but who knows if it was actually an upgrade. I think they were doing it for a firmer ride or something, right? Seems like all the Caprice guys want to soften up the ride...

Re: Struts off G8 onto 2013 caprice

Struts won't change the ride height, but springs will.

Re: 3.45 Differential install

I'm not Maurice, but I used the Caprice coupler when I installed my Camaro diff. It mated to the Camaro diff exactly like it mated to the Caprice diff. There was no difference. I don't remember having to support the LCA with a jack. Actually, I had to force it down. This is really an easy bolt in s...

Well, the car does it for you. They do not stay on recirc when set to recirc. They cycle back and forth. I believe most if not all newer cars are like this.

Does what? Pollution mode turns recirc on and off depending on speed. It has nothing to do with recircing more.

Yep, I use it since I have no cats and my exhaust dumps under the rear. It still stinks, though. haha.

Re: Complete Stock Exhaust and Front Crash Bar

Is there any interest in a complete stock exhaust. I have everything from the cats to the mufflers all in good shape almost no rust? $100 local pickup about a half hour north of Pittsburgh PA. I also have a front crash bar. Complete with hardware and mounting brackets. This is a nicer unit that doe...
