Re: Bizarre Electrical Problem - Looking for possible causes

Actually you can just take the above circuit I mentioned and ground it to flash the reverse and taillights. All the aftermarket module does is take the circuit to ground when the module is activated. The additional switch just grounds the BCM circuit.

Re: Bizarre Electrical Problem - Looking for possible causes

There is a wire that is a circuit that is from the BCM within the factory installed harness. When it is applied to ground it will tell the BCM to alternanately flash the tailights and reverse lights. Circuit 6841 D-BU/YE. EDIT: depending on the MY could be Circuit 6841 BU/GN. Could be occaisionally ...

Re: Sway Bars

After getting my butt kicked with the front sway bar, I did some quick research and found that I wasn't the only one to have issues. (G8 or Camaro). Lifting the engine is mentioned in some threads, looseing the power steering hose is also. Others have removed the tie rod ends and radius arms from th...

Re: Sway Bars

To drive the car with the front bar installed there was a noticible difference. But is almost felt like it was pushing the roll energy to the back of the car causing the rear corners to "dip" more when cornering. The new rear bar made SUCH a noticeable improvement. The car is cornering muc...

Re: Sway Bars

Just replaced the rear bar with the larger SB013 black bar. Much easier than the front bar. I just followed the included instructions per BMR. The only difference was the use of a #30 Torx bit versus the 4mm allen wrench to hold the link stud that the 15mm nut spins on to.

Re: Who has disabled AFM and what did it do to your MPG?

I have diabled it in tuning and drove the car from Omaha, NE to Ames, IA. 3.45 rear gear. Speed limit is 70 mph, cruise set at 72. 19-20 mpg w/o AFM. 22-23 with AFM active. I have done that a few times, just to see the difference. 72 mph is at the top range of the AFM activating. Any faster and I am...

Re: Will a transmission from another car bolt right in?

Keep in mind that the transmission will need to be programmed to your ECM/BCM. These new transmissions have their own brain, specific to the application, inside of the case.

Re: Sway Bars

Just got the front bar GM #92266844 installed. It does fit in the stock locations and attaches just like the old one. It was one of the more time consuming, frustrating things I have done on the car. I have never removed a front sway bar from this chassis before. And not knowing the tricks to gettin...
