Re: Fuel tank removal snaffu
On the 11–13’s I just get the cradle out of the way and drop the charcoal canister with the tank. Once you get the exhaust, driveshaft and emergency brake cables out of the way, there is not much left to remove. I pulled the calipers off and hung them from the body so I would not have to bleed the b...

Re: Water Intrusion Drivers Side
I have a 13 that had a water leak on the body seam on the driver side. Pulled the kick panel off and you could see water running down the sheet metal. I was able to get to it by pulling the cowl, wiper motor, hood hinge and a support in that area. Was able to seal it up using some surplus 3M Windo-W...

Re: What’s the oddest thing you found in your decommissioned ppv
Have found live rounds of a couple different calibers, two tuning forks for radar calibration/testing and a jump drive. Need to find a junk computer to plug it into to see what is on it.

Re: 2013 PPV Wiring in trunk
If/when you remove the unused wiring on the passenger side, just make sure you disconnect to heavy red wire, where it attaches to the driver side battery.

Re: AC Intermittently Works (HVAC thinks it's in front defrost mode)
Need to start with the basics. Is the compressor clutch engaged? Do you have a set of AC gauges so you can check pressures? The most common problem with mine have been leaking high pressure charging ports. With a cold start, both fans should run on low speed with the AC on. They will kick up to high...

Re: Softest (least harsh) strut/shock, spring, tire setup?
Just getting rid of the 11 struts will help. My wife’s 11 would just about make her sick on a couple of stretches of road in our area. Swapped some used 13 rear struts on it and it made a big improvement. Finely got around to swapping some low mileage used 13 struts on the front and it helped a litt...

Re: Front seat wiggle
As others have mentioned, the floor connection on the front will get loose. I usually pop the seat loose and pull it out of the slots. A smack or two on the floor pan right in front of the slot will tighten the seat track back up.

The 74 bulb is a smaller base than the 193. I would think you should be able to find a 74 at a local parts store.

Re: Should there be lights under the gear selector in a 2011?
The 11-13 9C1’s are all lighted. Just don’t know if they are identical under the covers, since 11 is a little bit of a red headed step child.

The 11’s have a little different hanger than the 12’s and up. You can probably do a little modifying to get the later models to fit.
