Re: Another Owner in Texas

Welcome! Not sure I'd want one with ALL the bells and whistles, but it sure helps figure out what wire went where. I'm STILL trying to figure that out. As an owner of a few ex-LEO vehicles, I can tell you that I don't worry about it that much, especially in Texas. Maybe I'm just being naive, but I a...

BUT, no one makes a bolt-in exhaust for the things. There's some fabrication involved, unlike the SS and G8.

Yeah, but that's possibly golfball dimpling aerodynamics, per Myth Busters. It may be s good thing. :D

Re: Speakers - Upgrades?

I was pulling the back door panels to reconnect the inside door latches, and actually ended up just reconnecting one side by going up under the door panel...

Yeah, the things you learn doing that. They make it sound like you should know all that crap. It's a racket, I'm sure. It took two weeks to get all the paperwork done on our Tahoe, and another two weeks to get on a transport to us from Florida. By the time we got it here, we were past our 30-day 'gr...

Re: Giving an old WI sheriff car a new life, lots of questio

Spotlight? I'd leave it. Better seals with it. The A-pilar trim is available, though, and you'd probably need to replace the driver side outer door seal. The cut in the door would have to be fixed by a good body guy and quality time with a welder. Wisconsin sheriff's car? So was ours!! Welcome to th...
