Is there a HOT TRANSMISSION warning on our cars? Thanks.
Ran low (see other post) but never saw a HOT TRans warning on the dash and was wondering if it even exists .

PDF is confusing. It say there is a hot trans temp but may not be applicable in all variants ???

UPDATE/. Drove to my local shop today to have fluid level checked as car is not shifting, surges , slow to engage etc etc... Had the shop put the trans temp on a scan tool around 120 F and pull level plug. Nothing came out until just about 4 quarts! Took it for a ride and is shifting perfect again. ...

so after I went to a reputable trans shop to have filter and fluid changed it had a few weird shifts on the way home.
