Re: Looking for caprice 2014
My budget is 9k maybe abit higher if i found a clean and low milage caprice
Re: Looking for caprice 2014
As others have mentioned, I would not worry as much about miles as I would about idle hours. There are a couple of 2013's in California that are on GovDeals. One has ~60,000 miles, but has ~9300 hours, with ~7300 idle hours. The other has ~77,000 miles with ~11,700 hours and ~9300 idle hours. The average speed is only about 30 miles per hour. That usually means a lot more starts and stops.

I don’t think you’re going to find anything 14+ under 100k for $9k. I was able to grab mine for that and it had like 100,600miles because they took it out of service at 100k.
It really depends. If you’re not going to do anything about the dod then hours are literally all that matter. Idle hours kill lifters. If you’re going to swap it then all I’d care about is how nice the body and interior is. The engine will be just fine with the dod deleted and no miles or a million.

Im looking for one for daily use for the first couple of months then ill start working on the car and the engine
Re: Looking for caprice 2014
the dod in any of then is a little concern , miles should be even less of a concern , if you are really that worried about actual miles vs cost , then look into the 11-13's
with the dod , you can do a few things so the system doesnt activate , which helps them out some , but not fool proof
the car 96azhawk has is nice , and he has put alot of care into the car since he bought it , and the G8 19" sport wheels that are powder coated white are a nice upgrade

I actually like the factory wheels more than the 19 inches
