Remote beeps

Anyone know how to turn these on and off? I would like my car to beep when I lock/unlock it :/

I don't think it can, since I don't see it as an option in the menus of the Owners Manual...

I am pretty sure my 2011 also cannot beep. But I never tried changing that setting. I think GM got that right for a police car. Beeping wouldn't be very stealthy.

This is fine with me, since I absolutely HATE it when I am backing up my car out of a parking space, and a guy near me decides to lock/unlock his doors and it beeps. Then I slam on my brakes thinking someone is in my blind spot ready to hit me. Cars should not be beeping for any reason unless it's an emergency. Some of the higher end car models are designed better -- instead of using the car horn, they emit a computer-like beep. That's a little more tolerable but still annoying.

I just listen for the "shhh-click" when I press the button. It's subtle but loud enough for me. If I am in doubt, I watch the lights flash (which CAN be controlled via the menu).
