Re: Key transponders
in short....no
The actual key lock cylinder on the steering column (and corresponding key) are different for 2014 PPV, with a smaller blade dimension, as currently used on Camaro. Discovered this in the process of searching out the flip key & remote start options for 2011-2013 PPV, which uses the same key size as G8.
Here's key dimension info as measured and from C.P. (pre VF ie. "no key"/WN):
- The keys for PPV are 3mm (0.118") thick by 7.16mm (0.282") wide (same as G8/VE)
- The "narrow" key measures 3mm (0.120") thick by 6.35mm (0.250") wide
- The Middle East Chevy key is 7.16mm wide and 3mm thick.
Here's a synopsis of previous posts on the topic:

Key - p/n 92252258 is the flip key blank w/ Chevy Bow Tie logo for M.E. Caprice (obtain from C.P.) - this key must be cut by a dealer or locksmith with the proper equipment and specific key type coding interface for the key cutting machine
Flip Key - the only option using US parts is the G8 flip key, blank PN 89027333 and it comes with a Pontiac arrowhead emblem. The only other option would be to find out if C.P. or someone in Australia can supply the Middle East equivalent with a Chevy bow tie. The flip key is a direct exchange with your existing key/transmitter--the 2 parts separate (not hard to do, once you figure it out) and the new (flip) key replaces the fixed key. The Camaro flip key will not work--different lock cylinder.
C.P. is able to provide the HSV logo medallion for the flip key fob to replace the Pontiac arrowhead on the G8 flip key.
Key has to be cut using the key code provided with the PPV keys, unique to your vehicle--dealer orders the key with this information and it comes pre-cut.
Note: GM PART # 89027333 REQUIRES KEY TO BE OBTAINED THROUGH YOUR LOCAL GM DEALERSHIP. WE ARE NOT ABLE TO SUPPLY THIS KEY DUE TO SECURITY REASONS.

Re: Key transponders
Does anybody know if the transmitter can be programed without going to the dealer?
Re: Key transponders
You can program it yourself using the DIC functions on your steering wheel. You'll need all keys and transponders you want programmed though.sardillim wrote:Does anybody know if the transmitter can be programed without going to the dealer?

2014 Holden VF and WN operate on 433MHzelc32955 wrote:Wonder if this new-style transponder and key for 2014's will work with our earlier cars....

2014 Chevy SS works on 315MHz
For now I don't know what frequency PPV or Holden VE uses.

Re: Key transponders
I'm pretty sure the PPV's and VE also function @ 315...but I could be thinking about TPMS sensors--RCDL transponder could operate at the same frequency.
As mentioned above, the key is different for 2014 PPV, even if transmitter may handle the RCDL/remote start (if installed) functions.
