Ls3 cam is in! Man that oil pickup bolt was a bit of a pain in the ass! Hopefully I'll get more time to work on it tomorrow.

if your using hp tuners, check out goat rope garage. Super knowhow vids and he is all about helping. Most tuners lock the ecm so you cant tune yourself if needed. He is soooo against that. He does live show every Thursday 8 est. as for cam swap, don't bother unless you do full dod. why not if your that far in? I've replaced or repaired multiple engines for dod lifter problems. btw my first post!

I did a full dod delete with an ls3 cam because I didn't want anything crazy. I have hp tuners and a wideband so I'll probably play around a bit before I take it to a shop to get tuned. I'm done with mine minus a few odd a ends. Hopefully I'll get it fired up tonight

Done! Seems to have a bit more lopey idle compared to stock but you can only tell if you have it next to a stock Caprice to compare.

I have been playing around with the tune and I have gotten my throttle response to almost feel like it's mechanical, its pretty close to how it feels when your in performance shift mode but it still has that bog off the bottom end like on a Holley when the accelerator pump is not setup correctly. I'm pretty Happy with the cam, I didn't want to get to rowdy with it since it's my kid hauler. If anyone is wanting peace of mind with a dod delete but not a race car it's hard to beat a stock ls3 cam.
