Another question, besides not fitting for length to connect to factory exhaust, if the 2014 Camaro SS Kooks headers fit without having to relocate the oil cooler, shouldn't a set of Kooks headers off a 2010 Camaro SS or 2011, etc, fit all the same, without oil cooler delete.

To my knowledge, no Camaro headers fit the PPV. And, earlier model Camaro headers from Kooks, required losing the oil cooler. Pontiac G8 headers will fit the PPV, if you lose the oil cooler.

Gotcha, I thought 'The Tech' exhaust setup was a 2014 Camaro SS, guess it was the SS sedan. Thanks

I just answered in the other thread before seeing this. I said the same thing in almost the same way.

So since I'm not the sharpest crayon in the box...the only direct fit headers out there are the Kooks 25102200 (1 3/4") and 25102400 (1 7/8") headers correct?

I would think the 1 3/4" would be better for otherwise stock cars. Would there be any reason why I shouldn't spend the extra ~$10 on the 1 7/8"? I'm inclined to get the 1 7/8" ahead of time as the odds of my getting another L77 are low as I'm thinking LSA, LS7 or LS3 in order of preference.

Also, does anyone know if the LS7 and LSA have the same block and header dimensions. I'd hate to buy a set of headers and find out I can't reuse them on a motor swap later.

Headers for the L77 will work on an LS3, not sure about LSA and LS7.

American Racing Headers also makes headers and exhaust systems for the Chevrolet SS that should fit the Caprice without removal of oil cooler. The exhaust needs to be lengthened.

I remember looking at their website last year and it actually advertised on the website that their Pontiac G8 GT header fit the Caprice PPV with removal of the oil cooler. I checked the site again today as a result of this thread popping up and it no longer shows the PPV on the website anywhere. They do however now show headers for the 2014 SS but only as part of a complete or partial exhaust system it appears. I'm thinking the headers would bolt up no problem after reading here that the LS3/L77 oil pan and cooler set up is the same between the Caprice and the SS.

I recently installed AR headers on a 2013 Camaro 1LE and I must say, I was very impressed with the quality and how amazingly easy the install was. So far my best experience with headers on any vehicle.
Thought I would repost this question in case anyone here has done this. ARH system is quite pricey worth it in my opinion.

Also one more question for all of you that have headers now. Who has 1 3/4 and who has 1 7/8 and what was the decision driving that choice. On either type, do the header rub or come close to rubbing the rubber boot on the steering shaft. I have seen this issue on Gen V Camaros but with 2 " primaries.

I have the larger, and I would recommend going that way, NA, or not. No problems with clearance, on the boot.

I went with the 1 7/8 so that I don't need to worrying about upgrading my headers later. I'm split between an LS3 or an LSA for my car so it depends on what I end up finding at the right price.
