The car goes to Kooks next Friday. I will figure out how to post a video, or at least a link to a video.

If the mufflers go back on I will have a Solo Axle Back system for sale.

I'm interested in your axlebacks if you take them off...

Okay, I've been forced to be out of town for work for the last two and half weeks. Kooks did the install of the headers on my car and my wife picked it up for me. The entire exhaust system as now been replaced. I have the Kooks 1 3/4" x 3" Stainless Steel Longtube Headers (That keep the oil cooler intact) and the Kooks 3"x 2 1/2" x OEM Stainless Steel Catted X-Pipe that connects to the OEM connection point for the Axle-Back system. I had already installed the Solo Axle-Back which is still in place - so I have no mufflers or resonators.

Here is a picture of what can be seen from above:

And here is a short Video so you can hear what it sounds like:

Here is a view under the car of the oil cooler clearance around the header.

I will get more photos of the system because these didn't turn out that well.

Kooks has the headers if you want them. They did my car with the 2014 Chevrolet SS 6.2L V8 Headers 1 3/4 x 3" Stainless Steel Longtube Headers P/N 251220 and P/N 251320 3" x 2 1/2" x OEM Stainless Steel Catted X-Pipe that connects to Factory Mufflers at OEM connection point. Or they connect to the Solo Axle Back system like on my car which also are connected at the OEM connection point. I have no mufflers or resonators at all.

When you order let them know they are for a Caprice PPV and they will make them the correct length. Kooks are great folks to deal with.

The only issue I have had is that the Check Engine light came on three days after I picked the car up. It is the Cat Code and I have made an appointment with PCM of NC to get a full Dyno-Tune and the reprogramming. I just kid of wish those guys (PCM of NC) weren't so good so I didn't have to wait for an appointment. (Just kiidding about not wanting to wait - from everything I've heard about PCM of NC they are worth the wait!)

-What is different length wise between the PPV and the SS?

Last Question: What are some thoughts on JET Ceramic Coatings on headers?
