Maximizer SS headers and cats

Post by Mooseman »

While it's sleeping in storage, I'm looking at different options on exhausts for my '11 PPV. Most of the major brands are expensive to me due to the CAD$<>US$ conversion. Found something interesting for the SS that could fit the bill on eBay:

They don't seem to have the rest of the system so I would go with something else like JBA for the SS or this one for the G8:

I can McGyver most things and have a MIG but not equipped for stainless. What I'm wondering is what kind of differences are there between the SS and G8 and if I can make this work together. Or should I stick with SS only?

One of the difference between the ss and g8 headers , is with the ss you don't have to remove the oil cooler . If that makes any difference to you about the oil cooler . Besides that there is no big difference .

For sure I knew about that, which is why I would go with the SS headers. Only reason I would go with the G8 headers would be to go for this system that has everything except the mufflers. Unfortunately they have been out of stock for months because that is dirt cheap.

From what I found, Maximizer copies Kooks' designs and makes them in China.
