G8 axle back muffler delete pipes

Post by mikem85 »

I apologize if this question has already been answered but I did a search and couldn't find a concrete answer. Will the G8 muffler delete pipes fit the caprice? Here's what I'm looking at:

Fit? Yes. Fit properly? No. They would need to be lengthened a bit. Hangers should line up but the tips need another 7 to 9 inches or so.

Solo makes a setup for our cars that bolts right up. More expensive than what was linked, however. Also some of those reviews seem less than confidence inspiring.

I am familiar with the Solo exhaust, but are the J-pipes necessary with DOD delete? Might be even cheaper to just have a shop bend up some pipe and weld on some tips and flanges..
