The kooks end were ball style. I would see if Kooks has the female side with a 6" pipe on it.

I meant basically bridge the gap with a band-style clamp. On second thought, though, it wouldn't seal very well. Maybe a short extension. Interesting to think about, though.

The headers have O2 bungs in them, right? It looks like they may, pointing straight up from the collector. What did you have to do with the tune afterward?

Yes on the bungs. You'll have to extend the driver side O2 sensor wires about 7". I did it to the sensor rather than the engine harness. Since it reads in Mv, solder the connections instead of butt connectors.

with intake and headers I think it made 30 rwhp. I didn't play with the tune until I cammed it. With so little advance in the factory tune, it would surely benefit.

Thanks, Dave. It's good to know that I can probably install this, and still use the car to get back and forth to work, before being able to schedule a tune. Someone out there has to have some O2 harness extenders, I may try to look around to see if I can find any. If not, then I'll try to fab something up with my weatherpack connectors.

This is now starting to look like a viable alternative to paying shipping to get a kit from Australia.

Were you able to swap out the exhaust manifolds for headers without jacking up the engine or removing additional pieces/parts?
Thanks

Did you ever find some O2 harness extenders? I just ordered Kooks headers and exhaust.

I did not. I actually haven't even looked. My stack of mods for this car is already pretty tall, and doesn't include any engine parts yet. The summer here has been stupid hot, and incredibly wet, so not a lot of shop time has occurred this year. This mod probably won't happen until next year, if then.

I got mine on eBay.
Search "ls2 o2 harness" make sure it's 4 pin square connector extension- male on one end female on the other
Only needs 1 for the drivers front sensor. 6" would ne enough. I got a 12" and made a loop on it

For anyone interested in KOOKS LT and mid pipes, MarylandSpeed extended their Black Friday deals through this weekend. I chatted with them on their website and they gave me a deal that frankly I've never seen before so I pulled the trigger on a set.
