Header Questions

Post by offutt0311 »

Ok so bear with me here. After all, I am new to these cars and to the LS platform in general. I have spent much time building and wrenching on my own cars, but I've always been into diesels and Fords. From my limited research I was wanting to know if the set o pace setter G8 GT headers would fit on my Caprice PPV. I have a 2012 and understand that I may have to delete my oil cooler. Can someone answer this question and fill me in on what all deleting the oil cooler entails? Thanks a lot guys!

Yes. they should fit. You have to plug the oil cooler lines, and use a different radiator hose. Don't know the part numbers, but plenty of info on G8 sites. I have G8 Kooks 17/8 on my blower car, and I had to delete the oil cooler, no biggy for me.

Also, how many o2 sensors do we have? Ordering my exhaust supplies. Doing the Pace Setter headers, 3" high flow cats, 3" H-Pipe, and 3" in/out Flo-Pro mufflers... Ballin' on a budget lol. Thinking it should sound purty sweet :)

But don't the Chevy SS headers fit WITH the cooler?!? The rest you have to rig up, but you keep the cooler. That's my plan, anyway.
