Started working on the harness today. Got a new Gxp m6 harness. I'm gonna strip out the stuff that's caprice specific and add it to the Gxp harness. Lots of time spent looking over schematics and pin outs today.

anyone looking for tech diagrams...

the ecu connectors are called x1 and x2
the fuse box connector is called underhood x1
and the car side connector is called x102
the cooling fan connector that needs to be worked is called x100

this will help when pulling the connector pin out views for the engine harness mods...

Made some progress today. Got the BCM and the radio out and boxed up to send to Chris. I got my GXP shifter, I had read somewhere that it is different from the 5th gen Camaro shifter. I couldn't find anything different about them except where the handle goes and it makes no difference that I could see. Mocked up my brand new virgin never been fondled by another man GXP Shifter handle and knob. Sweet baby Jesus!!!!

my caprice is a 2012. I found some differences today in the ecu wiring and the brake pedal switch. G8 and 2011 Caprice use a 3 wire switch. The 2012 uses a 6 wire switch and that goes to the BCM and the ECU. Funny the 3 to the ECU land exactly where the cpp switch needs to go, so I'll use the old style brake switch and re-purpose the other wiring to the cpp. The 2012 diagrams were incorrect, they said the cpp cavities in the ecu should still be empty like 2011. today's little nugget of Caprice love :D

I got my BCM and Radio module back from Chris today. That was quick. Clutch pedal is in. I got all the mounts for the transmission also, everything seems to be correct. I'll share part numbers once everything is bolted together and 100%
