Just want to throw this out there while this thread is still at the top...
The other way to add TUTD to the 6L80E, especially if you just want switches like greasychevy did, would be to use a '09 and up Corvette flash in the TCM, and run the wire directly to the transmission as the Corvette doesn't go through the BCM for TUTD, its straight to the TCM. It is supposed to be a little quicker, with less delay.
Here is a good thread on efilive on this:

I haven't fully fleshed it out yet, but I bet if someone was interested in this, one call to Speartech would get you the answers.
I saw conflicting info on if the G8 shifter would work out of the box with a Corvette tune in the TCM. Apparently a Malibu shifter will from what I read.
tapshift in 9c1?
Re: tapshift in 9c1?
id like to try and make this work using an actual shifter not a fan of the idea of using a switch to do it. I dont like the gmp shifter spear tech uses. I know it might be a little more money but i think we could use the kit offered by this company.

it looks like its 440 for the installed kit for the 6l80e. Im thinking the corvette tcm flash and the indiviual wire would work with it?
thoughts from people who have done this?

I'm kind of liking that! The Winters shifter doesn't look much different from the factory unit. I guess that even with the harness and gear indicator, one would still need a TCM reprogram?S13REMI wrote:id like to try and make this work using an actual shifter not a fan of the idea of using a switch to do it. Im thinking you will still need a tcm reprogram. I was talking with the guy who tuned my car on friday, and he said to gather some information and send it to him in an email and he would let me know.CrashTestDummy wrote:I'm kind of liking that! I like that winters shifter. My thoughts are that winters shifter and custom aluminum center console, would look very race carish
Ill be looking in to figuring this out sooner than later. Apparently HPtuners doesnt let you lock the cars in specific gears any more.

I'll be very interested in hearing what your guy says. Heck, I'd mount the Winter on top of the console 'pad', although the car really could use a bit more storage in it.
