its because of the magnetic ride on the 15-17 SS's
Magnetic ride can lift or lower the car? I thought it only increased or decreased damping coefficient. How does it mechanically lift? Is there a compressor or reservoir?

RE-read what he wrote about his 17 SS

On a side note my 17 SS has SSSL fronts and SSLHD rears, rode alright. Then had the dealership re set the ride height and it rides and handles way better than stock now.
it can be a bit confusing , but he is taking about the ride quality , and when he mentioned the dealer , and ride height reset refers to the sensors for the magnetic ride , so the system knows where the ride height is when sitting still
