Wheel hop fixes?

Post by jackleg »

Any usual suspects for causes of the wheel hop?
The car has poly diff bushings, new springs (SS), struts, lower arms, and toe links. 4 wheel suspension alignment. All other parts seem OK.
Has had the wheel hop before the new parts and still does.

Check all of the mounts, motor mounts, transmounts, rear diff mounts and rear subframe mounts.

I _think_ Pursuit (Maurice) said the install of the Camaro 1LE LCAs helped tame the hop some. The inner bushing is a bit stiffer, and acts more like a rubber-coated heim end than a rubber bushing.

The Camaro ZL1 toe-link also helped some. Doorman makes a nice replacement toe-link for about $20 per side. You want DORMAN 524564.
