Brake pad replacement

It's time to replace my front pads but,even though this should be simple is there a teardown manual that gm provides , I seen the factory manuals but they want like three hundred dollars for them. Thanks in advance

As complex and 'semi-orphaned' as these cars are, that would be money well-spent if you plan to keep the car for any length of time.
