Monroe Shocktober 2 2018 - $80 mail-in rebate offer

Post by Navy Lifer »

These are Monroe-branded, made in Australia, and are direct replacement for OEM struts/shocks, also made by Monroe in AU. Bottom line--as low as $220 for 4 new struts. Rock Auto's price beats Amazon by a bunch, did not look at eBay pricing.

I know this promotion has expired, but had a bad experience with the exact same kind of promotion in February.

Rock Auto listed our struts as being included in the promotion from Monroe. They aren't. I fell for the buy (4) struts get $80, bought them, sent in all my paperwork, and then was told "nope, those are not qualifying products". No rebate for you. And no course of action to make it better. Can't return product, because they require the barcode off the box, which identifies the product. Rock Auto won't take them back in that condition.

Before you plunk down cash on those shocks expecting a rebate, confirm that they really are a qualified product.

Same thing happened to me! Mine was for the $100 rebate. Was told the rebate program was for 5500 series shocks, not 5500 series struts. FML  Lesson learned.
