Stabilitrak goes on and off
Re: Stabilitrak goes on and off
All your tires the same size? Diameter wise.
Re: Stabilitrak goes on and off
No my back tires are slightly taller I'm not sure is they are supposed to be though.
Re: Stabilitrak goes on and off
I'm curious about your tire sizes front and rear as well.

Re: Stabilitrak goes on and off
If the tire size is formatted as such:
xxx/yy/zz
1) Take xxx * (yy/100), multiply that result by 2 to get the total height of the tire itself.
2) Take the result from step one, and divide by 25.4 to put into inches.
3) Add the ZZ to the result from step (2), and you have your overall tire height in inches.
Example: Stock tire size is IIRC 235/55/18
235 * (55/100) = 129.25mm
129.25 * 2 = 258.5mm
258.5 / 25.4 = 10.18in
10.18 + 18 = 28.18in tall tire
Maybe there's an easier way, that's how I've always done it.

Re: Stabilitrak goes on and off
tire rack gives dimensions on the tires
height only matters if the difference is more than 1 inch , with in a inch its usually ok , depending on how picky the car is

Re: Stabilitrak goes on and off
I'm out of town until Monday I'll post the tire sizes then, but to my eye the rear looked to be an inch or more bigger than the front. What's weird is the rear tire is the same brand and tread design as the front just bigger so I assumed it was stock. But also the rear tires are pretty bald and I need to replace them. This whole car is starting to make sense. I got it really cheap and literally the day after I got it, it started to lifter tick. so I replaced the cam and did the dod delete but the guy I bought it from said he didn't drive it much. So I bet he did a burnout or 2 hurt the engine and sold it. but it's running good so far knock on wood.
Re: Stabilitrak goes on and off
The solution has been found! The car had a p0106 code an that was why it was at the tuners shop and when he fixed that code the stabilitrak light went away.
