that good to know, i'll be on the look out for some 20s, someday I might do the brembo upgrade. I assume that applys to any rims, not just Camaro or CTSV?

No, the caliper is designed to fit over a specific-width rotor (30mm for 345) and the caliper mount is designed for and mounts on the suspension upright/knuckle at a corresponding distance to match the rotor diameter.

If you dig into it, you'll find there are also Brembo calipers on 321mm rotors on the Alpha platform--current Camaro, ATS & CTS, at least. The caliper for the 345mm rotor package will not have the same mounting "ear" length (radial distance) as the caliper for the 321mm rotor package, as they all use the same basic knuckle.

No, 20's are not essential--the 355mm Brembo package fits behind stock PPV steel wheels, for example. There are plenty of 18" or 19" wheels that work with the 355mm rotor/caliper, it's just a matter of knowing/discovering what clears both radially & laterally.

Here's my current 18 x 9 setup--full disclosure, I do have a 2.5mm hub-centric spacer, but the wheel DID clear without it, although the spoke-to-caliper clearance was VERY close, so I wanted some insurance, and for obvious reasons, I was not going to create clearance by modifying the calipers.

Bill,
I like the whole combination. The brake package, car color and rim choice. Good job!

Maurice
