New guy in Pacifica, ca

Post by 4949jc »

Just bought a 2012 caprice. Getting delivered from Florida to California next week. Kinda scared/terrified about buying a car without driving/seeing first but that's what I did with a 1996 about 15 years ago and it's still going. Finally time to get rid of my 1996 caprice.

I'm a GM fan. I also have a 1969 convertible chevelle, 1969 El Camino, and a Yukon for when I'm with the wife and kids.

I haven't told the wife about the 2012 caprice yet so I may end up sleeping in it for a couple of weeks unless I get rid of the 96 quick.

I love this forum. I've been reading it for a while. You guys put out tons of good info! You answer questions before I could even think to ask them.

Thanks,
Joaquin

Welcome, welcome! Plenty of room in the back to grab a decent night's sleep.... good luck with that ;) . Glad that you found us and don't be afraid to ask questions. You could post your 96 for sale here, if you want. There are some current and former B-body owners here.

Regards,
Maurice

Since I'm not the original owner how would I find out when the warranty started so I know if it ended already or if there's any time left?

Who'd you get it from in Fla? Private owner or reseller? I ask because both of our retired service vehicles came from the same place in Florida. They're both been awesome vehicles.

I purchased through EBay from a reseller. Car fax history report has very few details about its history but did say something about being a police vehicle. Looks like it was from Lincoln, MA.

My neighbor several house away has been a service writer for Stewart Chevrolet for over 20 years. I guess I can ask him about the warranty.
