New here, buying a 2011 Caprice PPV 9C1.

Post by K9Vic »

Hello all from Fort Worth, I am new here but have in the past looked around some. I am getting a 2011 Caprice PPV 9C1 that was actually a trade in at a dealer with 15k miles. Seems the officer at this small department wanted something else, so it was traded in. Not sure if this may be the first trade in, but I know it is not the first used in service unit that has been sold looking at the recent auction in Minnesota.

Anyways, I hope I am making the right decision as I am going from a 2009 Tahoe PPV to this.

Welcome! You're going to naturally lose some space coming out of a Tahoe, but the Caprice is a nice ride and it's very responsive. I think you'll be pleased. You are getting the 6.0L version right? :)

Enjoy!

Welcome to the group. If you don't like the Caprice I'm sure you can find someone to take it off your hands. I love my 2011.

Yes it has the 6.0L V8, I would not buy any V6 car or SUV.

I may keep the Tahoe for a few months as it is paid for, but I could use the money selling that to pay down the Caprice.

Yes, I believe that all the 2011 model Caprices imported were 6.0L. The V6 did not arrive until 2013 if I am not mistaken.

Yes that would be cool as I can pick your brain to make my radio better. I saw that you had a good tech a a dealer, so I may need to take mine there for any future work.

Thanks

Only bad thing is that he's no longer at that dealership... Not sure where he is now... but, I can definitely help you out!

Welcome to the group! Good luck with your purchase. I have a soft spot for the Z56 Tahoe also. Probably be my next purchase in a year or so. The Caprice PPV has been a great car for me.
