New User, hopefully new owner soon

Post by mftrnr »

Hello! Just came across the forum and already learned a lot. I had a 1995 9C1 and loved it, I miss it and decided I need to try the new generation. Im currently in the market for a car and making a to-do list. Ideally looking for a black one, cleaner the better but I'll jump on anything that seems like a good deal under 10k.

Lot of them out there. And a few 9C3 cars around. Good luck in your search.

Welcome.

$10K will restrict you to looking at mostly cars with >100K miles on the clock. There are some nice cars available with less than that mileage for a little more.

Yeah I'm already having a hard time deciding how much to stick with that budget. I don't mind working on that car myself but still want a nice reliable car. There are definitely a couple closer to 15k that are beauties.

Ours had about 85k on it, and was about $16.5. It’s been a great car so far, even though it’s from Wisconsin. DOD lifter fix at 40k miles, but otherwise a good ride. YMMV.

So I did pick up a car! 2011 9C1 with 109k, really excited about it. I picked it up from a member of the facebook page, he might be here also. Ive already been posting elsewhere in the forum about my hiccup with the airbag light, which is holding up me getting plates, so its just sitting... taking the opportunity to try and clean it up. Maybe buff out the signs of stickers of its previous life, and brakes all around, still need to get familiar with that front bumper to remove the push bar brackets.
