Nah, pop it off, apply heat gun and massage it out, you'll be fine. Ours looked almost that bad. There was a short post in a parking lot my wife found that did almost that much damage. Time with a heat gun some wood and hammer, and a moving blanked allowed us to iron most of it out. The only thing is the dirt and paint that was ground into the cracks in the paint.

Luckily, parts are pretty cheap for these trucks, too, so you could pick up a new cover and get it painted, but I bet you'll be fine with a rub out. Tail light lenses aren't too bad, either. I already have a spare set of headlight and tail light modules in storage should we need them.....
Parts must be abundant in TX, sent some my way... I've been searching for a part out Tahoe for weeks... A new fascia is $300 on Amazon...plus painting....

Oh, I bought the tail light and headlight modules new. I did the same for our '02 GMC 2500HD. It made the GMC look almost new, since all the plastic bits had hazed over some.

I'd do it on our '12 Caprice 9C1, too, but those parts are stupid-expensive new!!
