Hi everyone,
I've been a member for a few years. Finally got my hands on a PPV in February. 2015 car out of NC. Factory carpet and cloth seats, no pillar, bumper, or trunk holes. One hole in the roof. She had 114k when I bought her sight unseen. Flew down to NC from Detroit and drove her straight home. DOD failed about 2 months after buying her. She now has a LS9 cam, blue springs, VCM OTR, ZL1 convertor, JBA long tubes, Dynomax race bullets, 3" exhaust all the way back, and a 3.27 diff out of a 16 SS. Only interior mods so far are a SS center console and speaker grilles in the rear doors to let the rear speaker sound out. Here are some pics of what she looks like now and when i got her.

Cool. I'm jealous about your lack of holes in the exterior.

Thanks. That and the OE carpet are why i bought her. Pretty good deal too, 9k

Looks nice!
How do you like the ZL1 converter? I’ve seen mention of it several times. I don’t race at all and am mostly interested in something that doesn’t drag so hard at idle.

In my opinion, its one of the best out there for a daily. Factory single plate billet with a higher stall. It takes some serious power and way cheaper than the aftermarket stuff. I plan on eventually adding an LSA. Engine was already out, so the convertor was a no brainer.
Re: Introducing the White Whale
Thanks for the info! The price is hard to beat. Not sure I’m interested in dropping my trans right now. But I might buy one to have on the shelf for a rainy day.
Can you tell any difference in the amount of drag at idle? Annoys me how much my car wants to take off when you let off the brakes at idle.

Re: Introducing the White Whale
the LSA tq converter is a dual disk clutch , not a single , its only still a relatively low stall converter , and it is a tight converter , so it will act very similar to our stock one
