Long time lurker, finally bought one...

Post by phastlt1 »

Hello, just wanted to say hey. I just bought an '11 9c1. So far so good, except missing the drivers side rear quarter window trim (fairly common from what I've read). It was lost on delivery, so they say...I have a new one on the way.

I have only the 3rd one of these in my town, the other 2 are in service. It's all stock for now, and probably will be for a while due to financial situation.

I have had several B-Body caprices in the past, and been a member of several other forums in the past...hope to hang out here and get some good info on the new ride....

Edit: Tried to add pics, system told me image is invalid?

Welcome!

Congrats on the new purchase. These cars are really the best bang for the buck right now on a dollars vs. HP comparison. The only thing that I wish is that more performance options were available to us (like headers.... HINT Rich!), but those upgrades are slowly being worked and added to the stable. Another year or two of growth and I think we're going to have a a nice robust community here. Eventually people will figure out that the SS is not an affordable car except with a very generous income... but conversely the Caprice is. The $30K difference will buy an awful lot of mods.... :)

^Storm, I tried to do that on my first post. I couldn't attach anything, the system said "invalid format", I thought .jpg was pretty much standard. I then tried the 'ole photobucket, I realized it's not so user friendly anymore...maybe I'll tinker around tonight if I get some free time.

I'm uploading pics in JPG format just fine. Give it another try.... Just put a random example up, this was the congestion by Gate 3 at Kennedy Space Center for the last Space Shuttle launch.
